Send a test email

Send a test email to verify SMTP configuration.

Accepts a comma-separated list of recipient addresses and/or role:<name> references, expanded to that role's current members' emails — the same format the Recipients picker sends. Returns a step-by-step SMTP diagnostic log alongside the success/failure result so operators can pinpoint connection, authentication, TLS, or delivery issues without reading server logs.
